About
There is a place in each of us where coherence lives.
Where the body softens, the mind quiets, and something wiser begins to speak.
This is the place I work from, and the place I help others return to.
I'm Kara
Gouveia.
I’m an Organic Intelligence® Coach and Instinctive Feng Shui™ practitioner. My work centers on creating inner and outer sanctuaries where people can rediscover their natural rhythm, reconnect with their intuition, and experience the richness available in a life lived from alignment and ease.
Ease and enjoyment are always available, if we know where to look.
During my early studies in interior design, I realized my true curiosity wasn’t about how spaces looked, but how humans lived and transformed within them. An anthropology course opened a deeper doorway, revealing the questions I was actually hungry for: how we heal, how culture shapes our inner worlds, and why certain life thresholds change us so profoundly. I shifted my focus to medical anthropology and became especially drawn to childbirth and pregnancy, potent liminal spaces where identity reorganizes and new forms of life, meaning, and selfhood emerge.
I trained as a birth doula, learning to accompany people through profound transitions. Later, I spent over a decade in social work, child welfare, and juvenile justice, devoted to creating spaces, physical, emotional, and psychological, where young people could feel safe enough to heal and imagine a different future. Those years taught me the necessity of individualized care and the power of environments that meet people where they are.
I have held multiple C-suite leadership positions, carrying responsibility for teams, systems, and organizational direction. In those roles, I encountered endless burnout and began asking deeper questions about how to sustainably lead with clarity and integrity without overgiving myself. This inquiry brought relational practice to the foreground of my life.
I facilitate Relatefulness groups and immersions, both in person with Relateful Tucson and online with The Relateful Company. Relatefulness is an embodied practice of presence with others, a way of meeting the moment exactly as it is and discovering what emerges when we allow ourselves to be fully seen.

There are things that can only unfold in relationship. In the shared field between people, patterns reveal themselves, insights surface, and new possibilities take shape. Relatefulness is one of the ways I connect to the mystery and magic of synchronicity, where what arises in the space feels both perfectly timed and impossible to predict.
It is a practice of listening, revealing, being shaped by the moment, and letting the collective intelligence guide the way. A kind of relational alchemy. It was instrumental in me learning the magic and perfection of each moment as it arises, around and through me. It taught me the perfection in all the ways I show up, in the ways that don’t “make sense,” and held a container for me to reclaim parts of myself that I had shamed into the dark.
This all laid the groundwork for the deepest shift that came through my personal work with Organic Intelligence®. Before OI, I had done what many devoted seekers do: retreats, trainings, therapy, countless modalities. I had built a life that was successful by every measure, yet still felt like there was more I couldn’t access. More joy I wasn’t able to touch, something holding me back. Instead of striving or improving, I began to listen differently. New lines of communication opened within me. Trust in my intuition deepened. Change arrived not as effort, but as discovery, sometimes subtle, sometimes surprising, always precise. Anxiety showed me where there is also ease, and it all happened without me trying to do anything.
What emerged was not a new version of myself, but a return to something already intact. More beauty. More humor. More ease. More color. A sense of coherence that didn’t need explanation.
This is the quality of change I now support in others: organic, self-led, and quietly transformative.
Across everything I do, Coaching, Embodied Feng Shui, Relatefulness, I am drawn to the invisible webs between us. The quiet cues. The instinctive movements. The relational fields. The symbolic language of space. The ways our inner and outer worlds constantly shape one another and each other.
My role is to tend a kind of hearth. A warm, coherent space where who you are now is welcomed, where what you’re becoming is held with care, and where the wisdom you already carry has room to reveal itself.
Outside of my work, I share my life with my two cats, River and Mae, and with a collective of outdoor community cats who brighten my days and keep me close to love, rhythm, and presence.
My home is my sanctuary, an ongoing conversation between who I am and who I’m becoming. I practice Olympic weightlifting and make jewelry as a way of bringing form to the formless, working with strength, precision, and beauty as living processes.
